The Rum House is a Caribbean-inspired taqueria on historic Magazine Street in New Orleans, LA. The food menu is extensive with everything from tacos to crab melts, while the rum list features brands from practically every country south of the border.
Having a drink at The Rum House isn’t an ordinary drink at a bar. Having a drink at The Rum House takes you hundreds of miles south of New Orleans to the clean white sand beaches of the Caribbean, where you almost forget for a minute that you’re still on Magazine Street.
About the Project
The Rum House website design is a carryover from the retro design of the print collateral. Carrying out the restaurant’s concept of Caribbean-inspired, The Rum House website has an organic nature. The designs use earthy colors to reflect the idea of relaxing on the beach. The website is built using WordPress, so Rum House employees can update any part of the website with little to no knowledge of HTML or CSS.
The website is designed to be responsive and to degrade gracefully on any sized device.
